Basic Membership Requirements

Step 1:

Review the basic membership requirements above before applying. 

Only those who satisfy national requirements shall be considered. 

 

Step 2:

Submit the 2019-2020 application, which may be found below.

 

Step 3: 

Submit the following, using the links found below.

1) An unofficial copy of your transcript (required).

2) Two letters of recommendation (required). This must include ONE faculty and ONE other, non-family recommendation. *Note that the second LOR can also be faculty, but does not have to be.

3) A copy of your Spring 2019 schedule, including instructor, date, time, and location (required).

4) A passport style headshot or photograph (recommended).

FAQ

Who is eligible to apply to Mortar Board?

Anyone with a minimum of 90 hours completed by Fall 2019, a graduation date after Summer 2019, and a 3.25 GPA may apply. 

 

If I am entering my fifth year of a five-year program (i.e. the 150-hour Accounting program), can I still apply?
Mortar Board will accept fifth-year
students that have not yet received their baccalaureate degree. 

How do I apply?
Submit the 2019-2020 application, which may be found on our website.

In addition, you will submit:

How much are dues?
Local dues are $40 dollars and national dues are $80 dollars. These are one-time only dues, and after they are paid, members receive lifetime Mortar Board membership.
